Our School
The school has very high expectations in both teaching and learning and in developing our pupil’s moral, social and cultural development. We pride ourselves in developing every child to reach their full potential by removing any barriers to learning. We also strive to develop pupil’s voice, and their musical and physical talents.
We employ specialist music tutors, to ensure pupils have the opportunity to play a wide range of musical instruments, such as recorders, violins, steel pans, African drums, keyboards, clarinet, flute and Saxophone developing their musical and creative skills.
The school encourages pupil’s to get involved in sporting activities and residential trips in order to widen their horizons and to provide them with opportunities to take part in a range of activities and competitions from absailing, rock climbing, archery, aeroball, giant swing, quad biking, football tournaments to cross country and borough athletics.
Baden Powell is a fully inclusive school catering for every child’s needs. The school’s high quality provision for special educational needs and pastoral care ensures that both child and family are fully supported in all ways possible.
We are a culturally diverse school and recognise the importance of family and the vital role that parents/carers play in their child’s education. By encouraging parental involvement, we foster close social links with our families and celebrate with them, the many cultural traditions within our school community. We support our families by providing extended day facilities such as breakfast club, playcentre and after school activities.
