Pupil Premium
Baden Powell’s Pupil Premium
The school receives additional funding for certain pupils. This additional funding is called the Pupil Premium Grant (PPG) and was introduced in April 2011. The PPG aims to help schools narrow the gap in attainment that exists between pupils from low income and other disadvantaged backgrounds and their peers. Three categories of pupil are eligible for the PPG:
- Pupils from low income families who are eligible to receive free school meals (at any time in the past six years)
- Pupils looked after by the local authority
- Pupils with a parent who serves in the armed force
The school also receives catch-up funding to ensure that the vagaries of the pandemic have a limited impact upon the children and their learning.
