Club timetables
Autumn 2018 Timetable – Coming Soon!
Our extended services clubs and activities programme for students splits into two main sections.
1 – Study support
The first is concerned with study support and this includes a range of homework afterschool clubs as well as additional revision classes in the run up to the exam season.
2 – Sports, leisure and arts
The second strand to our programme covers ‘sports, leisure and arts’. These are the clubs which students can opt in to learn new skills, try something different or further a love of a particular activity.
There are a large number of sporting activities that help our students keep fit and healthy, encourage teamwork and enable them to channel their energy in safe and supportive environments.
Gardening Club
Our popular gardening club opens whole new areas of exploration, awareness, enjoyment, amazement, and learning for our children. We’ve introduced gardening, conservation, protection of wildlife, recognition of plants, trees and shrubs, basic flower arrangements, and a love and appreciation of nature. The benefits to the students include:
- Introduces the art and science of gardening using fundamental math, reading and writing skills, as well as practical applications.
- Increases awareness of the environment, natural resources, ecology, conservation, composting, and recycling.
- Encourages creativity through observing the cycles of life.
- Develops leadership skills.
Sewing Club
We offer beginners and intermediate sewing classes in alterations, dressmaking and a range of other inspiring classes. During the term children design and take home their handmade projects which could include:
- A tote bag
- A comfy cushion with button detail
- A lovely lined pencil case
- A lovely lined toiletry bag
- A pair of pajama bottoms
Football Club
Our football clubs give our children the opportunity to develop their football skills; in a fun, safe and sociable environment.
Our sessions cater for boys and girls, of all abilities, from Year 2 – 6. The club has really grown over the last few years and is now a popular after school activity, with many of our players competing in local tournaments.
Who runs the clubs?
Many of these clubs are run by our own staff members but we also employ specialist tutors who are DBS checked and come highly recommended to the school.
The programme is published annually and every term at Baden Powell children have the opportunity to sign up and attend an after school club. The programme varies termly as we add new activities throughout the year.
How much do clubs cost and how do I get involved?
For most clubs a charge of £20 per term per club. Study support clubs are FREE.
Clubs generally run from 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm, depending on the activity and can go on until 6pm.
